The rotary evaporator is a commonly used evaporation and purification instrument in laboratories. It can be used to quickly and gently distill most samples. The evaporation device of a rotary evaporator mainly consists of three parts: the condensation and water circulation part, the heating part, and the vacuum pump.

The vacuum pump is essential for rotary evaporators. A circulating water vacuum pump is often used, but corrosion protection is provided by a cold trap or other methods. Tap water temperature varies significantly with the seasons. The temperature is relatively high in summer, resulting in low solvent recovery rates. Furthermore, tap water can easily cause discoloration and scaling in the condenser. Two options are available:

1. The best solution is to select a suitable low-temperature coolant circulating pump. When selecting, consider the appropriate matching of cooling capacity and minimum temperature, as well as the circulation interface, circulation volume, and circulation pressure.

2. Small rotary evaporators can optionally be equipped with a cold trap for ice cooling.

The vacuum rotary evaporator is a commonly used separation device in chemical and biological laboratories. It can efficiently evaporate and separate the solvent in the solution and is widely used in experimental operations such as sample concentration and purification.
