Three ways to clean rotary evaporator

Rotary evaporator is a widely-used evaporation instrument. It is an essential instrument for evaporation, concentration, crystallization, drying, separation, solvent recovery and other processes in the scientific research and production process of pharmaceutical, chemical, biological products and other industries. So how to clean the rotary evaporator?

Three ways to clean vacuum rotary evaporator:

1. Water washing

The water washing method is a method of flushing pipes and equipment by pump pressure using water as the medium. It is used to remove residual dirt inside pipes, towers, tanks and other equipment that transport liquid media.

2. Air blowing

The air blowing method is a method of blowing residual dirt from the pipe after air is pressurized by a compressor (usually 0.6-0.8MPa).

3. Steam blowing

Steam blowing method is a kind of blowing that uses steam with different parameters as the medium and is provided by a steam generator. Steam blowing has a high blowing speed and therefore has great energy (or momentum). The intermittent steam blowing method causes the pipe to shrink and expand due to cold and heat, which is conducive to the stripping and blowing of attachments on the inner wall of the pipe, so a better blowing effect can be achieved.

The rotavapor rotary evaporator is a device that uses a rotary evaporation flask to increase the evaporation area and is placed in a water bath under reduced pressure while rotating and heating, so that the solution in the flask diffuses and evaporates.
