The rotary evaporator is suitable for reflux operation, rapid evaporation of large amounts of solvents, concentration of trace components, and reaction processes that require stirring as a commonly used evaporation and purification instrument in the laboratory. It is widely used in the fields of pharmaceuticals, biology, environment, and chemical industry.

How to clean vacuum rotary evaporator? Common methods are as follows:

1. Water washing

The water washing is a method of flushing pipes and equipment by pump pressure by using water as the medium. It is used to remove residual dirt inside pipes, towers, and tanks that transport liquid media.

2. Air blowing

The air blowing method uses air as the medium and pressurizes it with a compressor (usually 0.6-0.8MPa) to blow away residual dirt from the pipeline. The air blowing should have sufficient gas volume so that the flow rate of the purge gas is greater than the flow rate of the normal operating gas, generally not less than 20m/s, so that it has sufficient energy (or momentum) to purge the residues in the pipes and equipment to ensure smooth trial operation and safe production of the device.

3. Steam Blowing

Steam blowing is a type of blowing that uses steam of different parameters as the medium and the gas source is provided by a steam generator. Steam blowing has a high blowing speed and therefore has a large amount of energy (or momentum). The intermittent steam blowing method causes the pipeline to produce cold and hot contraction and expansion, which is conducive to the stripping and blowing away of the attachments on the inner wall of the pipeline, so it can achieve a better blowing effect.
